Discouraged with ab and belly buster

Yesterday was day 10 of abs and day 9 of Belly Buster diet.
I.am.Discouraged.
Plain and simple.
Im not giving up, but I am not nearly as enthusiastic about all this.
I expected by 10 to be down at least a pound and Im not.
I know I could be losing fat, and gaining muscle, but I really expected to lose some weight. I though this was what I needed to get under 120 but its just not working.
And I am discouraged.
Here is yesterdays pictures. I did 1 ab workout, and I did 2 sets of incline push-ups ( 1 set was 40 straight!) in between running my 2nd mile. For the first time EVER, I ran a 9 minute mile yesterday.
Myfitnesspal still says I should weigh 114 lbs in 5 weeks. Well, sorry pal...10 days later and I am still fluctuating between 120 and 121. I don't think you are my pal.

For comparison I planned on a 10 day picture. Here it is. And here is more discouragement because I don't see a change. Do you?
Front:

                                                                         Side:

This sure is a big challenge. But surely, there is going to be a change eventually, right?
And even if I don't physically change, the stronger I am the better I will feel right?

I really need  to just suck it up and keep going. I mean, Im already TEN days into it.
Its just REALLY  hard to keep going when you are discouraged.

*updated* to add, Im glad I just sucked it up and went on with the day
Because:
Just what I needed on day that I lost almost all my motivation. I crank this out: 1 lap, 2:20 on 6.5 mph then 50 incline push-ups, 2nd lap 4:36 on 6.6 mph then 20 incline push-ups, 3rd lap 6:50 on 6.7 mph then 40 incline push-ups, 4th lap on 6.8 mph in 9:02 and then 25 incline push-ups and then get this...150 (yes, ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY) crunches and I went all the way to 40 without even feeling them!!! Thank God. Just what I needed to prove that this IS, after all, WORKING.

We got orders!

The Dad came home yesterday to give the Mom a little piece of paper that says 'REQUEST AND AUTHORIZATION FOR PERMANENT CHANGE OF STATION'

It is now completely official. Now we can schedule the packing and shipping of household goods, shipping of our vehicle and get plane tickets off this island for 1 Feb! Which is in only 63 days.

Abs and Belly Buster update for days 8 and 9.

For my records:
Today, Abs Day 9 and Belly Buster Diet Day 8.
Ran only 1 mile today. Only able to do 1 ab workout vs. my normal 2 due to busy shopping for upcoming squadron Christmas party wardrobe. 7.5 minute ab workout and 1 set of incline push-ups, able to now do 40 incline push-ups without stopping!
I still don't see a physical change which has me really disappointed. But obviously I can do 40 incline push-ups and still able to do the 7.5 minute workout a tad easier.

Sure don't. But I will.

Abs and Belly Buster update days 7 and 8

Yesterday: Abs Day 8, Belly Buster Day 7.
Again, for my records.
I admit, after days 7 and 8 and I haven't even lost 1 pounds I am frustrated. Very frustrated. I know this is part of it and eventually I will see some change on the scale but for now it's really not cool. I limit my calories to what myfitnesspal tells me, I count every calorie that I eat.  And I eat only what I am supposed to eat. And it says I should be 113-114 in 5 weeks. Well, it has been a week and Im still 120. I guess a possibility is gaining muscle?
I can now do 2 sets of 7.5 minute ab workouts, almost easily. And I'm doing 2 sets of 30 and 35 incline push-ups and I'm not all that sore.
But seeing the scale not move is not cool.
I think once I reach day 10, I will do a side by side comparison picture to see if we can note any physical changes.

Gingerbread men!

Last night the family sat in our tiny living room/dining room and decorated a Gingerbread Man kit. It was a lot of fun and today they all got destroyed. After running a mile on the treadmill I went to check on them and they both had gotten into the cookies....icing faces and hands and even a toy dinosaur was eating one. Oh boy...

We even hung our stockings on the wall and added some extra lights.

Kayla wearing her Christmas pajama pants.

My 3 children...

Kayla decorated her own man all by herself. She placed the icing on it all by herself and topped it with candies.

The Dad having just as much fun.

Our tree and the box kit that we made.

Kaylas man...she called him a 'monster' I dont know where she gets these things but it has been causing some serious mayhem in this house. She refuses to sleep in her room in her bed or go to her bathroom alone  because she is scared. I been so tired and stressed from it and I am just so ready to move onto the next toddler phase and get through this one.

Caden's 3 cookies he decorated.

Again, my 3 children.

Our Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving day was great. It was nice and relaxed and ended great. We spent the morning just hanging out at home. After nap time we headed over to our friends house where the following events took place:

First we HAD to check out dinner in the oven.
The kids were so excited to see our friends and have SPACE to run around in. Their shoes came off and the ran circles around the kitchen, dining room and living room with loud squeals of delight. (This condo keeps up TIGHTLY cramped up!) Then Kayla had to take a break on the futon.

Caden has a shoe fetish. With everyone and anyone's shoes. First he looked at me waiting for me tell him it was ok to try on Ms. Jessica's shoes. Then he proceeded to someone's crocs.

It didnt take long for dinner to be ready! I got Cadens plate together but he barely ate anything. He has his right bottom side 2 year molar giving him a hard time.

Ms Jessica got Kayla's plate together but she was too focused on all the excitement that she barely ate. However, the kids are enjoying leftover ham for breakfast lately.

My plate!

Hanging out.

Jessica and Dustin got gifts for the kids. Caden is watching Kayla open her first one to make sure its ok that he open his.

Excited Kayla, opening up a brand new pair of shoes in size TEN!

She loved them. They went on her feet and she didnt take them off at all until we got home.

Caden ripping into another gift. He got some nice long sleeve shirts, pants and some socks from Jessica and Dustin to prepare him a little for our big move to New Mexico where it will be cold!

Kayla moving onto another gift.

FLATSCREEN LIGHT BRIGHT!

Caden got a Toy Story 3 chair! The look on his face when he realized what this was, was hilarious!
Perfect gift for him!

After the kids opened presents we gave Jessica her home made gifts from us and their very first Scentsy item. Yes....I have showered them with my passion for Scentsy. HA! We got them the Fireman warmer and 2 bars.
(Hope you guys love it! We sure did think it was cute!)

Kayla playing Wipeout! Her first video game ever!
It took some serious concentration!

And Caden thinking he was playing.
Not long after this it was time for us to go. All the excitement and food made the kids tired really early. 6 pm they were showing signs of their tanks being on empty. They wouldn't even eat any apple pie or cherry cheesecake. Which was DELISH! And yes, I had a small slither of a piece of each. It was worth each small bite.

Thank you Jessica and Dustin for having us over and sharing Thanksgiving dinner with us. You are great friends and one of the few that our kids really take to. They love you!

Abs and belly buster update, Days 5 and 6.

Abs day 6, Belly Buster Day 5

Documenting today for my records:
Instead of 2 miles today I ran 1 mile as fast as I could, 9:04- my all time record.
Still doing 2 ab works per day, my 2nd workout today I increased to a 7.5 minute workout and plan to stick with that one from now on. Also still doing 2 sets of incline push-ups as well but increased from sets of 15-20 to now doing sets of 25-30. Plus each time I use the bathroom I make sure to do a few more. My belly buster diet is great but went over in carbs a little today from lunch at Yogurtland.

I dont see a change yet. Mildly disappointing. But, it hasn't even been a week yet and physically I don't see much change but already I am doing 7.5 minute ab workouts and sets of 30 incline push-ups.

Cant wait to get my new blender for Christmas so I can start detox smoothies and green smoothies :)

According to Myfitnesspal.com I should be able to hit 114.3 pounds in 5 weeks if I stick to this.
Currently I fluctuate between 120 and 121.
And according to this chart I should be between 105-140.

Abs Day 5, Belly Buster Day 4

For my documentation:
Abs Day 5, Belly Buster Diet Day 4, 121 pounds on 25 Nov.
Still sticking with 2 miles per day, today I did 2.25 miles.
Did away with the Ab workout from Pinterest and started with 5 minute Ab workout which consists of 30 seconds each of:
Basic Crunch, Right Oblique Crunch, Left Oblique Crunch, Bicycle Crunch, Reverse Crunch, Flutter Kicks (which I replaced with Long Arm Crunch because I cant do those quite yet) Crossover Crunch, Half Curl, Vertical Leg Crunch and ending with Plank.
Also, each bathroom use I do 10-15 incline push-ups along with the daily 2 sets of 20.
Belly Buster diet going well, minus a little extras for yesterday's Thanksgiving meal, but overall I did great.

Potential Homes

Since we have been checking out houses for sale in Alamogordo, NM prices have dropped which makes us very happy. Each time we look at the listing we go back to the same few houses and out of the those same few houses that we really like, a couple of them have dropped 10-20 grand. We are thinking (and hoping) within the next 66 days until we get there that maybe they will drop even more. We (as in Nick) is already communicating with a Realtor!

When we first got our assignment to NM we were able to afford a nice home, 3 beds, 2 baths, garage but a tad smaller and older than we would prefer with a little more work to be done than we prefer.

But now we can step it up a notch!
One top favorite potential home that we hope is still for sale when we get there is:

THIS ONE.
We absolutely love everything about this house. And a big plus it its the biggest sq ft house and it just had a price reduction.
It would need a tad bit of work, take out the pool and add hot tub, pull out grass and add stone and it already has a BBQ area outside, and extend the patio, and we love the outside brick fencing. A little inside work could be done but not much at all.

Here is another on our top list:

THIS ONE.
What we like about this is the price, over 2,000 sq ft with FIVE bedrooms! This means we would each have our own room, plus a guest room and a 'craft' room. We LOVE the big shady tree out front and hope that maybe by the time we get to NM if it isn't sold that they price will drop even more considering it has been for sale for a very long time. It also has the laundry room on the 2nd floor- LOVE. But, it needs a little work. Needs new tile, carpet pulled out, kitchen extended some how, pool taken out, hot tub put in, grass pulled out, patio extended, BBQ area built outside. But all of this over time would be really fun.

Here is another on our top:

THIS ONE.

We love the pictures of it. It needs very LITTLE work. The work that does need done is just minor things that we would enjoy to do. We would take out all the grass and add stones, and extend the patio and build an outdoor bbq area. The view is amazing and love the brick wall as fencing. Each time we look at listings, this is one that we always go back to.

There are a few other potential houses too, but I will save those for next time!

Happy Thanksgiving to all! Plus Ab, Belly Buster update

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

Our plans are to go to a friends house. A young couple that loves our kids and our kids just love them. Since we dont have an oven to cook in, we just opted to go half and half on a Thanksgiving meal ready to go. The base here offers a fully cooked Thanksgiving meal you can pick up and just heat up at home. Good deal for us! We are also going to exchange Christmas presents today with them since we have to have Christmas early for our household items to be shipped. This is should be fun!

Also to add:

Ab and Belly Buster update for the day:
