Air Show 2012

Over the weekend we went to the air show. It has been a while, since Kayla was about 9 months old.

I love the air shows. No matter how many times I see military planes flying, the air show just doesn't get old.

They fly right in your face and right over your head. The Thunderbirds are the best part. They fly so fast and glide so gently yet are so powerful and they do it with nothing less than perfection.

Im always amazed. Just amazed.

And I have to mention, at the end right after the closing ceremony, my friend who works for the general asked if we could go see the Thunderbirds  I was speechless! The kids and I got to go over the fence and walk up to the Thunderbirds and get pictures with them. Im still speechless! This is very rare folks. You have to be a very VIP to get to do this. As in high ranking like the general...or be a pilots immediate family member. Awesomeness!!

I totally dont have good pictures though. I brought the good camera...with no memory card. Sore subject. I am so mad at myself....

While we were there, Dada was working the Red Horse station showing all the kids and people about weapons and what Red Horse does. The kids enjoyed hanging out with Dad.

So now Im a slouch-er

We did our Thanksgiving family photos last night in the back yard. I think they turned out great for a 5 minute session, a tripod and a timer. The kids for the first time ever were allowed to pick and chose whatever they wanted to wear. So they are wearing snow boots...in Las Vegas, in 70 degree weather. Its cute.

After seeing the pictures, I feel like I look so sloppy. I don't spend time on my hair and I noticed a have taken on a new position...one of slouching. A lot. Nick said he noticed it started not real long ago. I didn't even realize I was doing it. I guess all the weight in the boobs and mid section really are weighing me down already physically. I didn't even realize it. I look like a slouching mess in the pictures. But they are still cute.

I gotta work on that. ( As I sit up straighter in the computer chair, lol ) I need to practice more and be more aware of the way I am standing. Especially in public!

This one will be going into the family members Thanksgiving cards this year.

The view of the mountains from our back yard.

And by the way, last night I for SURE felt the baby moving finally.
It was the movements I thought I was feeling but wasnt sure. Now Im sure. It was clear.

Weight update

So I stepped on the scale today. After a 2 mile walk on the treadmill and a 5 minute arm workout.
136 pounds.
Wow.
That is hard for me to take in.

Going to try to stick with the daily walking, maybe up it to some jogging here and there.
And no more Halloween candy.

13 years ago we looked like this:

Yes, we looked like babies because we were. 15-16 and 18-19 years old.

13 years ago today we went on our first date. I was 15 and Nick was 18. We went to the movies and afterwards we tried several times calling Nick's mom from a pay phone to come pick us up. She wouldnt answer. We started walking back home in the snow.
That was interesting. It would have been a very very long walk. But a little bit into it she picked us up along the side of the road. lol.
That night was also our first kiss. After being frozen from that walk we took a dip in the hot tub.
Saw a shooting star.
And he kissed me.

19 week survey

Not much has changed the past week. Its been pretty quiet and uneventful. My belly is bigger I think. I feel so large! Being so tiny and then to this is such a difficult change. Almost half way there!

Baby's now the size of a mango! Vernix caseosa, a greasy white substance made of lanugo (that thin, downy hair on baby’s body), oil, and dead skin cells (yum) now coats baby's skin, shielding it from the amniotic fluid.

How far along?  19 weeks
Total weight gain: Last doc appt at 15 weeks I was up 13 pounds. I now dont have the courage to step on the scale.
Maternity clothes? Mostly all maternity now, except sweat pants and tshirts.

Stretch marks? My old stretch marks around my hips that had faded over the past 2 years of my 45 pound weight loss have now shown themselves again...and new ones have started forming as dark circles on my belly.
Sleep:I have been totally knocked out, weird dreams too!
Best moment this week:
Miss anything? Running hard and sweating. Being fit and in shape and 115 on the scale.
Movement:None that I am sure of, but I felt a couple things that are possible. I just dont know.
Food cravings: No cravings. Enjoy spicy food.Enjoy fresh fruit- apples, peaches, mangoes, bananas.
Anything making you queasy or sick:  No
Gender Predictions: Girl already confirmed. It was my gut instinct from the very beginning of pregnancy and turns out I was right.
Labor Signs: No
Belly Button in or out? Its in still but not as in as normal.
Wedding rings on or off?  On. Still fits the same, pretty lose.
Happy or Moody most of the time: Happy.
Looking forward to: Feeling movements and being sure that its it and our next ultrasound Nov 14th which will also be the name reveal.

18 week survey

Today marks 18 weeks!
18!
Wow!
Baby is now the size of a sweet potato. From what I have been reading I should be feeling movements by now or soon. Im impatiently waiting.
SO NOT used to this roundness. Its just a hard adjustment for me. Not complaing, or wishing it away of course. I'd take this anyday vs. not being pregnant...but wow I cannot get used to this. I worked so hard for 2 YEARS to have abs and be fit and in shape. This shape is like another planet to me. I have chubby sides now and such a round belly. Yikes. And not even half way though yet.

Stretch marks? I think I have the start of them unfortunately. I thought I would be able to escape this without them, or without horrid ones. I have very itchy skin, the slightest dark marks which  I think is the start of them and my belly button is starting to change a tad. Only noticeable by me though.
Sleep:I have been totally knocked out, weird dreams too!
Best moment this week: Getting 4 huge boxes of baby girl clothes in the mail from a friend.
