On the 5th of Mimi and Papa's visit

On the 5th day of Mimi and Papa's visit, we took a drive up to Mt. Charleston. We heard on the news that the mountain had gotten about 1.5 feet of snow the night before and since Kayla pooped out the first time we went up and missed the snow, we thought it would be fun.

This time Caden pooped out and he missed it, but Kayla had a BLAST! Even though it was only a few minutes since we weren't properly dressed. And while we were up there...it was snowing lightly. Last time we saw snow, Caden was a newborn.

So very excited! Last time she saw snow, she was 18 months and a few days old!

Throwing a snowball at the car.

Tasting the snow!

My little red riding hood.

She was just shrieking with laughter! You can hear it in this picture!

Later that night, Mama and Dada left the kids with Mimi and Papa at home and went out kid-less!
We ended up just wondering around the strip for a few hours and before leaving we caught the pirate show at Treasure Island.

We walked through the Mirage which was pretty amazing.

This is the view of the Venetian on the walk to the Mirage.

We walked to Caesars Palace.

The water you see is from the Bellagio fountains.

Backtrack..

Before Mimi and Papa got here, we picked out our carpet, tile and vinyl for the house.

And on the way back we had a pit stop.

And while randomly driving around we found the Las Vegas Town Square.
We later bring Mimi and Papa here for a load of fun! Which I will blog about later.

Time gone too fast

Mimi and Papa leave in 2 days and we just aren't ready to give them back yet. This 10 days feels like it has been 2 days. We have been busy everyday so I haven't had the time to catch up with blogging, but I'm going to try to catch up!

So, on day 4 of Mimi and Papa being in  Las Vegas, the morning was spent with the big boys at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway and Shelby museum.
While the girls and littlest boy when thrift store shopping. It was St Patrick's day so everything was 50% off. We had such a blast!

While the kiddos napped, the big boys but together Caden's belated birthday present!

Later that day we did a drive  by of our house and saw more FRAME up!! (You should see the house now complete with 2nd floor and roof!! But, that is coming soon!)

The next day we walking around the Miracle Mile Shops in downtown Las Vegas on the strip.
And while there we had lunch at Cheeseburger in Las Vegas.

The inside of this mall is INCREDIBLE.

Picture of it didn't turn out great because of how dark it was.

To be continued...

Mimi and Papa arrived!

Mimi and Papa arrived last night! I tried to keep the kids awake long enough to see them, but it was a fail. Even after them eating cupcakes at 8 pm.

We are having a blast! The kids are acting as if they have never been so far away from them for the past year and a half. Its like no time has passed, yet the kids are so big it's like all the time in the world has passed.

It was like Christmas Eve night....waiting to excitedly for morning so the kids could see their Grandparents.

Mt Charleston

On Sunday we spent the day going on a long drive. We drove up to see snow! One of the reasons I love Vegas so much is you can drive an hour to a lake or you can drive an hour to see snow, or you can stay in the suburbs where we are building and have everything you could possibly need, or you can drive 15 minutes to the city and be in the Las Vegas strip. Its the best of all worlds.

But today, we ventured to go see snow!

We all did except Kayla, who was fast asleep in the car. She is up at 5 am most days so there is no way she was going to stay awake. (3 years later I am still hoping she outgrows this)

When Pooh Bear got his wings

2 years ago today, Pooh Bear got hurt. I have avoided blogging the past couple weeks because I knew this post was coming. But I n...
