Kayla's a brownie

Kayla joined Girl Scouts after we moved here and was a daisy only a few short weeks. You become a brownie as you enter 2nd grade. So her bridging ceremony was Friday where she became a brownie. It was a good time making the girls feel special. Dinner and cupcakes started the ceremony.
She's not a shy girl but put her in front of large groups of people and she's a different kid!

Another nephew

My sister, Malissa, the kids' Aunt, is pregnant with baby number 2. She just announced the gender a couple days ago.
CJ with a gender clue.
It's another boy!

New fishy!

We had to leave our beta fish in Vegas with mr chuck, Summer and captain America. So yesterday we finally got a new beta fish. Caden picked red, and Carly chose the name Fishy.

Before getting our fish at the bx, we stopped at the park to eat our lunches we picked out at the commissary after walking from the base thrift store. Mama got curtains for the loft.
Kids got lunchables, Chios and Caden picked a peach and an apple.
Mama got a sandwich. We also had free cookies!

Korean folk village field trip

Last week Kayla had a class field trip to the local Korean folk village. I couldn't join her because siblings were not allowed and I don't have a car here to follow the bus on my own. Dada was not able to get off work. We plan to make a trip there for a family day eventually. Looks like she had fun. I gave her 4 won just in case and she came home with a ceramic bird whistle.

Memorial Day

On Memorial Day this year, Mama had the idea to let Kayla have a mini party for her neighborhood friends. Dad cooked
burgers and hot dogs and we had cookies, chips and juice. Kids had a water gun fight before eating too.
It was fun to watch them have a good time. Our neighbor Tracie also painted their faces before the BBQ.

Caden got his new bike the night before and dad put it together for him to ride. His helmet was too small so he took off
Without it. He ended up falling off his bike and hitting his head really good on the ground. Thought for a minute we would be in the hospital. He had a huge egg on his head for a couple days.

Taking friends to the market

On Friday we went to the market again. Caden, Carly, Mama, Ms Laura, and a lady (Nicole) and her 4 year old daughter who lives in the nieghbor good across the street.  It was their first times going to this market. It was fun. Nicole and I took a taxi to the main gate and we met Laura there. We walked through the ville to the market. Laura got a pack of eggs and some shower back scrubbers. The kids got their donuts and hot dog sticks and mama got her kimbabp rolls. We also tried some new stuff this time.
On the way back, we stopped at oodles of noodles. Nicole, and kids shared some
noodles. Mama ate her rolls and Laura ordered noodle dish without noodles. Just chicken and veggies. It was SO good!
Carly used chopsticks and actually was eating with them!
Caden tried.
We all had a fun time!

Our garden

Our garden is growing like crazy!
Green peppers and tomatoes. Afraid the tomatoes are going to take over the peppers though.
Strawberries.
Tomatoes and cucumber but it looks like cucumbers will get trampled by tomatoes...
Lettuce.
Basil. But since then I've duh them out and put into a bucket. I've read and been told they do better together in pots.

Yummo!
